, with headquarters in Golden, Colorado, is a consulting company created to provide solutions to improve the economic, social, and environmental performance of buildings from initial design to construction to operation. Our goal is to help make new and existing buildings more sustainable, energy efficient, and renewably powered.
ambient energy staff has a combined total of more than 70 years of experience specializing in energy efficiency, renewable energy, green materials, and sustainable design services. We have provided sustainable design solutions to many buildings including offices, laboratories, courthouses, educational facilities, visitor’s centers, multi-family residential, industrial sites, and remote sites.
We make new and existing facilities operate efficiently with cost-effective strategies by performing energy audits, energy modeling, and life cycle cost analysis. We evaluate feasibility and design renewable and distributed energy systems such as photovoltaics, solar hot water, passive solar, transpired solar collectors, wind, fuel cells, and micro-turbines. We also help to create sustainable buildings by conducting sustainable design charrettes and using LEED™ rating systems, Green Globes, CHPS, Energy Star benchmarking, and others. We also recommend green material strategies to reduce the impact of the selection of building materials on the environment. We identify ways to reduce the impact of buildings on the environment and be more cost-effective.
